Changing the way you eat? |
When I was struggling with my diet I wanted to speak to someone who not only understood where I was coming from, but who could give advice of which foods to stop eating. I was sick of having to carry indigestion/acid reflux tablets with me everywhere I went. A 30 minute call gave me the information I needed to get rid of these problems altogether!
I liked that I was able to substitute foods instead of taking medication after every meal. Hannah is a real food nutritionist helping people change their health through diet. She is passionate about real food and helping those with allergies and intolerances to still enjoy food and eat well. Here are Hannah Bailey's 5 top tips for healthy eating (applicable to food allergies too)
1. Free from products can be full of artificial ingredients. Look at the label and if there are lots of ingredients you can’t pronounce then put it back 2. Get creative in the kitchen and make your own versions of things e.g. courgette can be used instead of spaghetti. That way you know what goes in and you can also increase the amount of fresh food your eating. 3. Menu plan. It not only reduces food waste so saves you money but also avoids those times of wondering what to have and ending up with a take away or ready meals. 4. Batch cook so you have your own ready meals in the freezer which will be far more nutritional than supermarket versions and cheaper. It also avoids the problem of buying allergy/intolerance friendly food 5. Keep a food diary. It’s great for seeing how often and how much you do eat as well as being a great place for recording symptoms too which a medical professional may ask you about |
